This error occurs for more than a hundred times over the years. I can not determine the cause. It may be easier to find the error by reading the source code. I'm sorry for my English, I use machine translation.

Does it happen when you start XMPlay? Or when you restore it from tray?
Are you running XMPlay on Windows or in WINE? What Windows are you using?
Do the buttons of the panels respond?

This occurs during the manipulation with the list of mp3 files in another window, I think. Just suddenly panel drawn incorrectly. The next time redrawing XMPlay, all rendered correctly, and the program then works normally. Maybe even a few times for a session so drawn, with an error. I use Windows XP SP3 Russian 32-bit. The operating system works fine. I can not specifically repeat the mistake, it is better to view the source code. Naked XMPlay I did not check. I did not think that the problem may be in plugins.

Does it happen when you move one of the files which would be visible in the Playlist panel if the panel were not hidden?

Only Ian can do that, so it'd be helpful if you can explain how to make the problem appear. It's not your fault that the problem seems unpredictable, though Smiley.

I agree.

Shocked In my understanding, the panel it is visually connected to the main window sliding panels that appear erroneous. Window with a list of mp3 files shown separately on the left in the picture. The last time the problem arose when I removed the items in the list with the files, I think. In my opinion I already described, we will wait for the author  Smiley.

That looks like a window z-order issue. The way the z-ordering works is a bit complicated/messy; Windows won't automatically retain the correct order, so XMPlay has to keep enforcing it. Next time the problem happens, please make note of what you did to trigger it. Also, to perhaps get another clue, run Spy++ and check what windows the XMPlay process has open (perhaps there are some system/hook-created ones interfering).

When the problem happens, does it stay or does it go away, eg. when you click on the XMPlay window or toggle mini-mode?

Panels are displayed correctly when I click on any object, such as shortcut. Most likely I fail to execute any additional debug programs. Probably works forced sort Z in the handler losing focus? I understand that the best thing I find the sequence of actions leading to the error. But I can not. All I could, I've already written.

Several years ran XMPlay from a shortcut. Only recently created a context menu for folders. Saw a difference in the launch using Process Explorer. In the first case, the problem is, in the second case is not sure, have not followed it.
