Is anyone else having problems with MUSICIANS\O\Orcan\Lets_dance.sid? Whenver I try to load it, XMPlay crashes. Doesn't happen if remove the SID plugin.

Works fine for me. Try with a clean install of Xmplay.exe and the SID plugin only to verify. You should start off with a virgin ini file to rule out any interfering settings there, too. If it works add back one plugin after the other and retry to hopefully identify the root cause.

It works OK with me. Which version of the SID plugin are you using? I'm using rev. 26, which I believe it is the latest.

I'm a bit puzzled now. No Plugin or INI option seems to cause this. I made an exact copy of my XMPlay folder and it suddenly worked. Normally, I'm using the %APPDATA% directory to store the XMPlay settings, so I had to add the NoUserConfig flag to xmplay.ini in the new XMPlay folder so it won't look there. I also copied the library and saved settings over, and it still worked... And then I copied the xmplay.pls over and it didn't work anymore. Then I tried it with my normal XMPlay configuration, because I had an idea, and it turned out to work: Instead of adding the SID file at the end of my playlist, I added it as the first playlist item - and it suddenly worked O_o How crazy is that? Note: The playlist entry it was originally to be placed at was #5502, I dunno if the SID plugin grabs this info and if it can't handle large playlist numbers, but that would seem a bit strange to me. Anyway, now I can play the tune. :s

I added it to a playlist of 13,954 files, it worked well for me. Did you tried making a new playlist again?

It worked with an empty playlist and after just deleting all tracks from my own playlist. What other kind of "new" playlist is there?

What I meant to ask is does it work when you added the aprox. 5500 files to a fresh playlist? It worked for me without a problem when I added the file to a playlist made of 13,954 files. I just wanted to be sure it wasn't a case of a bad file included on the playlist.

Sometimes some tunes seem to have problems with time-based seeking. For example in Proven_Futile.sid by Zardax after seeking to 6:17: - with enabled auto-advance next tracks in playlist are played only for buffer time - with disabled auto-advance XMPlay displays 6:26 instead of 0:00 when track ends

When SID filters are enabled and external filter is disabled, subsong 2 isn't played properly from 0:17: \F\Follin_Tim\Raw_Recruit.sid

I am having problems with the plugin rev .26, in that it doesn't play the songs in their full length, they always get cut short. I have the latest HSVC archive, and it's pointing to all the correct paths.
OS-Windows 7 64-bit.
Cheers, Gym

Did you enable the "[ ] Load song length database" checkbox?
