Yes I have that checked Dude.

Can anyone who also has Windows 7 64-Bit let me know if sid tunage plays to their proper length?

Maybe it needs to run in a compatability mode?

I have the latest hvsc.

cheers

I just did that in my previous post.
Do you use the HVSC archive or have you downloaded individual SID files?

Have asked it nicely to run in compatability mode for Windows XP SP3, and it seems to get the correct length, although for your info for the next update.

If you don't specify to have fading out in the config, at the end of the duration it replays the beginning of any sid tune for 5 seconds. Before replaying from the start ( if repeat / looping on )

I don't run XMPlay in compatiblity mode and it's working nicely here, and the tunes also don't loop here unless I tell them to do so. Seriously you must be doing something wrong... Smiley

Sometimes some tunes seem to have problems with time-based seeking. For example in Proven_Futile.sid by Zardax after seeking to 6:17:
- with enabled auto-advance next tracks in playlist are played only for buffer time
- with disabled auto-advance XMPlay displays 6:26 instead of 0:00 when track ends

STIL comment is displayed incorrectly in \PVCF\Brainbeat_3_Introrap.sid

There are clicks from 0:07 in \Trident\Thistledown.sid

CPU = 100% at 2:09 in subsong 14 of
\Leitch_Barry\Back_to_Future_III.sid

Subsongs 2-5 haven't sound:
\Bjerregaard_Johannes\Stormlord.sid

Fixed for the next revision.

Wow, impressive changelog! The new configuration screen is great, just one screen with all options in reach. Awesome improvement on the sound!

Note to all:
High quality sampling, SSE2 acceleration and file seeking (Warning: slow) is disabled by default, so make sure to review the configuration at least once.

Thanks Fraggie, this one came rather unexpected. Grin *double thumb-up*

That new configuration dialog is very nice indeed. There's just a little problem with one of the labels, using the Win2k theme under Win7:

Subtune 2 of MUSICIANS\K\KB\Turrican_32k.sid doesn't fade out when fade-out is set to be applied to looped songs only. It stops abruptly at 1:19 here. So I guess the plugin's loop detection fails somehow.

I've widened the label. Please let me know if it still looks bad.
As for Turrican_32k, the second song is not looped according to Songlengths.txt. Complain to HVSC. Smiley

Is it possible to start fading out from end (not before end)?

That looks better indeed, thank you.

I had the impression that this Turrican tune was looping properly before... But it's not too important.

setting high quality + SSE2 both enabled on a winxp sp3, with AMD Athlon 64 3500+, which supports SSE2, slows down the whole os, while playing the tune randy-illusion.sid (hvsc.perff.dk/MUSICIANS/R/Randy/Illusion.sid). Any idea? that CPU should cope with that tune...

Playing Illusion.sid at the moment, AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+, high quality and SSE2 enabled. CPU usage hovers around 13-17%. No problems with other tunes?
