Revision 28 is up with:
- option to start fading out after song has looped
- fixed all bugs found since rev.27

When duration of looped song = eg. 4 sec and fade-out = 10 sec, song is played 8 sec instead of 14 sec (with option 'fade after looping').

Some nice changes/additions to the new revision, especially filtering. But is it just me or has seek time taken a major hit? Now it takes about 15 seconds to seek to halfway through Lightforce, whereas before it was super quick. Bug?

Dhry

Edit: Just read previous posts and now know the reason. Going to have to go back to a previous version, unfortunately I need seek speed over filter distortion.

I can't find a quick solution to this... I will have to review the changes to libsidplay as this was playing fine in v26. That'll take some time...

What's weird in particular? I compared rev.28 against sidplay2/w Feb 22 2009 and it seems to sound pretty much the same.  (Nice music btw!)

Time-based seeking in rev.28 does not work  Sad
Compared with rev.26 to rev.28 tune C64Music \ MUSICIANS \ Laxity \ Alibi.sid played really different (I like to rev.26, as it is brighter, sharper). I understand SaxxonPike_ the same mean.

Works here - did you actually enable seeking in the plugin settings?

You're complaining about filters, right? Try another SID revision or disable SID filters completely if it's the crispy playsid sound you're after.

Yes indeed! It was in the filters. When I turn off the filter tune was played correctly.

Heh, I guess everyone's filters just sound different Smiley I believe that Sevenfunk track was probably released before I had a real 64 to test it on, but I will definitely load it up on the breadbox and find out myself. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yup, that's the... beauty of analogue parts.

The 6581 revision selection is currently broken and fixed to R4 3789 (very late production). To be corrected in the next release.

Shoot, HVSC changed the file PSID file version for 2SID stereo tunes. I wasn't aware of that. To be corrected too.

rev. 26 has sharper sound than rev. 28. I set the pan separation to 0% and disabled the surround sound. this way it sounds closer to the original c64.

If you want mono, then simply switch Channels to Original. You'll save some CPU power as well. Smiley

Instead of disabling filters completely try the SID revisions now (3984 and 0486S are lighter then the default).
