??? bass.dll : infected by Univ/j ?

Hi all !

Bizarre, my MacAfee A/V blocks the access to BASS.DLL and says that it's infected with a UNIV/J computer virus.

Ok. I download the last zip version on this site.

I open it and try to unzip it.

Mac Afee blocks the process and says :
INFECTED BY UNIV/J.   :-/

What do you think about it ?

mm 1.) how Old is your Virendefinition
2.) Maybe you Explorer is infected....
The Bass.dll from the side isn`t infected.....

No such problem on my end. I use McAfee.

Too many possibilities:

1. Winzip itself
2. Explorer
3. Proxy server - if any
4. Mc Afee itself (if not up to date)

How can U be sure?

1. If you have another similar computer with Mc Afee (pref not connected to a network), you may try downloading to it.

2. You can also send it as an attachment to YOUR yahoo/hotmail email address (ie send yourself an email) and see if the yahoo Antivirus will trap it. Do this from a 'clean' box.

A few people have had this with McAfee. No other virus scanner has given any problems. So, in conclusion... McAfee are pants

all right boys : I've erased mc afee from my computer and replaced it by norton
