Get level post volume/FX???
« on: 13 Mar '03 - 20:19 »
My question is quite simple
(I think), and any insigth would be welcome:
-Is there anyway to monitor the level of a
stream post-volume and post-effects using
BASS or by any other means.

If you have any clues, let me know.

Thank you,
Jan. :-*

If you use the "non-FX flag" method (see "DX8 effect implementations" in the docs), then the effects will appear in the level given by BASS_ChannelGetLevel. Volume settings do not affect it, but you could simply scale the level by the volume, eg. finallevel = level * volume / 100 :)

Thanks for your fast reply Ian,

the "non-FX flag" method introduces a small
delay in the response to changes in the
effects parameters, but I think I can live
with that.

As for the post-volume solution, I feel really
silly; sometimes it is the simpler solution that
escapes you ...

Thanks again,

Jan.
