« on: 4 Mar '03 - 18:39 »
Hello Folks.
When i play a CD and if i start to play a other stream, sometimes (much times) it stop to play the CD (and i dont use stop or pause cd channel). Why ?

First, i do

Then i do
f := 'C:\jingle1.mp3';
str:= BASS_StreamCreateFile(FALSE, f, 0, 0, BASS_STREAM_AUTOFREE );
BASS_StreamPlay(str, FALSE, 0)  ;

:o :oIt play the stream str, But it stop the CD... ???

That's just plain weird! ;D

Does the CD stop, or is it just muted? And does the same thing happen in the precompiled BASSTEST example? (in the C directory)

It happend when i use more than 2 streams loaded.
If i try to play a other one, the CD stop. In fact the handle do not more exists (stream empty), i have to
BASS_CDPlay(x, TRUE, FALSE) to replay (resume do not work).

With your sample, it works perfectly, but you use only 1 stream (i have use all the bass-procedure of basstest of course for my program, thanks a lot, if you want i can declaim each line now   ::))...

In my DJ program, it happend when i want to play gimish while CD is playing and 2 other streams are waiting. (BASS_StreamCreateFile has be done for 2 other streams).

The only difference with basstest is that 2 other streams are pre-loaded. (BASS_StreamCreateFile has be done 2x).

(Everything works perfectly with Streams, Mod, Wav, Mp,... only CDAudio have problems...)  And no problem with CD Data (MP3,...).

I had such thing earlier. May be it will help...

the value of CDCHANNEL is 0.

str:=BASS_StreamCreateFile(...) can return 0 too

so this is a problem here: two different zeroes (CD & MP3)
