Recording a WAV in delphi
« on: 12 Dec '02 - 21:39 »
Does anybody have an example of recording in Delphi- I've had a look at the VB and C examples but I'm not sure which file writing commands to use in Delphi-

I see in C 'fwrite' is used but I'm not sure of a delphi equivilant.
I think I understand the header types fine.

Thanx for any help

A Delphi conversion done by xminionx was snuck into the BASS 1.7 ZIP a couple weeks after release. So if you redownload BASS, you should find a Delphi version of the recording example in there :)

I had trouble building this example in Delphi4 under windows 98 with DirectX 7 and having finally built it I get an unknown (-1) error when I call BASS_StartRecord. Seems to work OK under Windows XP though. An ???y thoughts ?

Could this be to do with DirectX 7 or that the Sound Card I am using does not support DirectSound recording?
