How do I apply/activate SKINS for XM-PLAY?  After I download the file, where do I put it and how do I activate it?

I see the file after I download it but it is not associated with any program and I don't know where to put it so I can apply it.

Any help.... would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

DAVID

Hi!

First of all, it's generally a good idea to read any given instruction manual.
In this it is stated, that you can put the skin files (*.xmpskin) anywhere in the XMPlay directory (or a subdirectory - mine is called "skins" for simplicity). After this, you can activate the skin by
1) right-clicking the main window and selecting a skin or by
2) opening the "Options & stuff" dialog and selecting a skin from the "Plugins & Skins" tab.

If you really, really can't be bothered to read the manual, you might want to have a look at this: http://support.xmplay.com/Guide.html

It's strongly advised to read the guide or the manual (or both) to get to know every little hidden function of XMPlay (of which there are quite a few).

Thanks...  I will look into the suggestions.  For some reason, the XMPlay directory is NOT listed with most of my other programs under the C:ProgramFiles directory.

thanks

did you put it there then? Tongue XMPlay can be downloaded as a zip, you have to unzip it manually to a place you like. Most of the settings are stored in the registry by default, so you can safely extract xmplay again to another folder and run it with the same settings.
