The lyrics should automatically stretch to (almost) the full width of the info window. If you want to make the window fullscreen, you can do that by double-clicking in it.

djavo,

Yes, many soundfonts can be used. It is better for quality if some channels sound bad. Then a better soundfont can be used for those channels.

Ian, if you're still interested in supporting XMI format in MIDI plugin I have some format docs. Should I upload them to the FTP?

I'm asking because while you can convert them to plain MIDI using winamp's in_midi, it doesn't support subsongs and loop markers correctly IIRC. Would be really nice, thousands of old games use it and most newer ones use GM compatible files.

Done.

AIL2.zip has the SDK (released as Open Source in 2000 I think). I don't think AIL3 (aka Miles Sound System) had any format changes, but can try to get it if you want (that one's still commercial though, so would be a bit on the iffy side).

A214_d2.zip -> Midiform.exe - MID to XMI converter. You can also use newer The Miles Sound Tools: http://www.radgametools.com/mssdown.htm

A214_d2.zip -> Doc -> Asciidoc.zip -> Xmidi.txt has the format specs. There some other stuff there as well, not sure if helpful, from what I read most of it is specific to Adlib or MT-32 modes, both of which aren't really GM compatible.

XMI_Examples.zip has some tunes to check (just a small selection really, there were over 7000 games using either AIL2 or MSS drivers, with most preWin32 ones using XMI for music).

Hope this is enough. Smiley

So, umm, is the stuff I provided enough? And if not, what would you need more?

If anything, it's too much stuff Smiley

I haven't had time to look at it all yet, but I will do so.

Multi song files don't work (well, play just the first song). Not sure if I included a file like that, upped one to the ftp just in case. Everything else seems to be in order, ty Smiley

Here's another update to try, in which multiple sequences should be presented as sub-songs...

I checked this release successfully against my XMI collection. Multiple sequence files now are played nicely, too.

Thanks a bunch, Ian. Grin

Ian, you previously provided versions 1.0.7.1 and 1.0.7.2 of the midi dll. This again is version 1.0.7.1. Shouldn't this be version 1.0.7.3 instead of 1.0.7.1 again? Just wonderin'.

Current version is 1.0.7.0 rev.7e, as can be seen in the dialog "Preferences -> Plugins -> Input". Previous release v1.0.7.2 was revison 7b.
