Please upload the file, and I'll check it out...

   ftp.un4seen.com/incoming/

OK, I've uploaded it, it's "13. kirjoituksia.ogg".

Ian, yagood and the rest of you. It wasn't an umlaut problem. It may be a corrupted tag or an ID3v2 (mp3's tag, that is) in ogg and that is bad, bad thing. I've noticed I've got these kind of tags in my ogg files encoded between years 2002 and 2003. I guess my encoder (and tagger) CDex didn't do the job quite right back then.

ID3v2 tag in an ogg? That really is true - a friend of mine confirmed this. Fortunatly there are tools to erase the ID3v2 tags, if they exist.

Although Winamp's AudioScrobbler plugin submits the broken info right, I have no thirst to go back ;). I'll fix my oggs instead.

Good luck and later!

Ian is looking into this problem, maybe you won't have to change your files at all, just wait for his response.

Yep, there is a bug (doesn't add a new line) with OGG tags/comments that have no name (eg. "Track is encoded with..." rather than "ENCODER=..."). I'll sort it out for 3.4.

In the meantime, if it's just a few files that you have this problem with, you could remove the "Track is encoded with..." tag from them.

Thanks! Although ENCODEDBY and ENCODED_BY aren't the official ogg tags, (or suggestions for the official tags) they are quite popular and used.

I don't have to do even that :). I noticed just opening the file in Winamp's tag editor and pressing "update" fixes a tag.

Awesome work guys, thanks loads! just a small GUI bug, in the about box and log file, todays release still says "0.6 beta" even though its the final release (isn't it?) obviously no biggie, but I thought I'd mention it.

thanks again!

Thanks, I updated files on the server. Lets hope that this is going to be the only bug in this version :-)

The 0.6 final causes my system to slowdown up to almost a complete freeze.I switched back to the beta and all is fine. Is it happening only for me?

Hmm, not much has changed between beta and final, so that's strange... Could you post log file contents (with "debug mode" enabled) from the time you experience this slowdown / freeze?

Except of general slow operation there is a gap in playback at 9 seconds because of a freeze. Another gap at 50% of track length because of a freeze.

The logfile has only one line that changes :
Code: [Select]
2007-02-10 02:40:45 [DEBUG] Submit interval set to X second(s).

Could you send me whole log file to yagood@o2.pl? And this happens only in the final version - everything works OK in the beta version, right?

Yagood , I have found where was the problem. I had saved settings for several paths with their  dsp setting. I guess these settings wasn't compatible anymore with the new build. When I removed them the player went back to normal behavior.

I currently noticed this:
Code: [Select]
2007-02-19 16:31:53 [WARNING] Seeking during playback is not allowed - current file is not going to be submitted!I don't think that this is right! Because when I'm listening BIG FILE with CUE and some tracks inside maybe I don't want to hear every track and if so I will loose statistics.

It is right, see Audioscrobbler protocol specification:

Quote
If a user seeks (i.e. manually changes position) within a song before the song is due to be submitted, do not submit that song.

Files with CUE sheets should work fine if you seek by right-clicking next / prev buttons - xmp-scrobbler should detect that this is a valid seeking.

So a submission is canceled if I just need to rewind a song because I missed the first 45 seconds due to whatever?

If you rewind a song before the submission, it will not be submitted. After the submission - rewinding has no effect until you start new track.

Very cool. But another thing, again it seems WMAs like this one:

Title   Galaxie
Author   Blind Melon
WM/TrackNumber   1
WM/AlbumTitle   Soup
WM/Year   1995

are badly tagged, with "arist or title tag missing!"

EDIT: Oh and see, there's a typo in the log, "arist". ;)

Because this is Microsoft's format and that's what they do best - screw up standards  :-\
