Nobody is paid to skin XMPlay. So maybe you should make one, or two even so we'd have more skins to choose from.

The best mp3 player i have used. When it comes to mp3, i have test many players like coolplayer, foobar, winamp, quintessential any many more but i have stuck to xmplay. Whenever a newer version of one of the other players are released, i try them out and until now i haven't found a version that has forced me not to switch back to xmplay.

I feel that adding support for many diff formats only makes the player bulkier and loses its charm.

The support for skinning, less memory usage and good sound output makes it the best. I would expect better wordings/sentences on the options screen since some options are difficult to understand.]

Good work guys, keep up the good work.

Alrighty, the server switch worked fine and the improved 404 page now automatically searches for missing items.

Could version (and release date if available) be displayed for each plugin?

If there is any version information, it's in the title. Talking about plugins: most of the native input plugins don't have any version numbering, as they are the first release. Once any revision gets released, the revision number is put into the title, too, together with the update or release date. The current dates of some plugins are the dates they were put online. That is because I didn't care to look up the actual release dates of some 250+ files. But again, once one of them gets updated, the date changes as well.

I can't see eg:
SID beta 0.24b

As I said, for files that do have some version information, the version is shown. The native SID plugin has no version number, as it's the first release.

By the way, I'm going to be abroad for an internship for the next five months and I don't know whether I'll have internet access there. I guess people will have to summon either Ian or Keltic Danor, in case anything breaks. :)
I'll try to check my mail, tho.

Cheers!

I know, I know. I'm still here, reading. I just can't do updates from my current home, because there's no internet connection yet. I'll try to take care of this next weekend.

No intention of being pushy, just a note in case you keep this thread as some kind of to-do list. ;)

Not a bad idea, Jace ;D
Anyway, I updated some stuff on the Support Site now. I still don't have a net connection in Ingolstadt, so I have to get stuff done while I'm at home in Graz. I'm able to read the forum from work, so I'm still with you here. :)

The Sound Solution version on the Support Site is already the latest. The installer you linked me to even says it's "1.31b", so no need to update here. :)

(Actually, the latest version of Sound Solution is 2.0b, but I haven't tested it yet. http://tmsweb.dnsalias.com/ )

Sound Solution v1.31 (beta dll)

SoundSolution v1.31 (installer)
Submitted On:      26 April 2005

also when i run the plugin through DSP in the title bar it says 1.31, whereas in the past it would say 1.31b.

I also suggested the NotSoFatso plugin, which is needed to play .nsfe files :)  I recently tried it and it is the best NES input plugin imo. :)

Hi

I like XMPLAY, is fast and have nice skins for choice, for be freeware is a excelent player. :D :D

The only propblem  that i see (in my case and others) is that the player can't suport multi speaker (Systems audio like 5.1,6.1,7.1) :(, I like to know if in next version of the player you can add this option in the player or may be a plugins for that ???

I will wait for that!!!!!!  :)

It would be great if you could add links to old versions of the plugins as well as the new versions. Sometimes there are problems with the new versions and you can't revert back. Like lately the acc m4a plugin no longer player m4as.

How do You think XMPlay should play STEREO MP3's on 5.1 and so on systems? Emulate 3+ channels and completely destroy quality of sound like WMP and WinAMP do? I don't think that it's a good idea. But it is only IMHO.
