« on: 27 Jul '06 - 21:31 »

Winamp/Xmplay/Deliplayer can play this files
MPTracker/MPPlayer can open and save this file

why mo3enc cannot compress it?

p.S.  Sorry, but i don't speak english :)

What type of file is it? If it's IT, XM, S3M, MOD (not 15 channels samples!), MTM or UMX, it should work. Try downloading the latest version of mo3.

Does mo3enc give error messages? Did you try the GUI? Do other files (like XM) compress properly?
Do you have any plugins installed with XMPlay (like Oldsk00l, MikAmp, ModPlug)? Mo3enc can't use these plugins.

Some examples would be handy ;)

   ftp.un4seen.com/incoming/

Btw, it could be that they are actually ZIP (or other archive) files - try opening them with an archiver.
