Changed thread title. Before: "[solved] Some skinning questions"

Hi Smiley
After playing around a bit with your Bass library I have give XMPlay a try. Really great Smiley Winamp is gone now ^^

The main thing I miss is the Winamp skin (the old one) so I created one by myself ... or I tried. After serveral problems using the palettes without spamming my system with acrobat products I got foreward, but:

I missed the button for switching minimode (I know, doubleclick works) Only a really small thing.
The core problem is I dont find a way to open the Equalizer (Aka output panel). Like in winamp I like to have a button placed in about the middle of the main dialog to open it, and the X to close it, but on the main mask I havent found a index for it. Documentation doesn't helped me much in this.

And is it possible to use bitmaps for numbers in time display instread of a font? Would be great, because I can't implement my lcd font Smiley

Thanks

Just in case you've somehow missed it, there's already a Winamp-like XMPlay skin, called Nullsofted.  Both the skin and its source are available on the support site.

I know and I have it, but it is not really one of my favorites. Smiley

I want to have one as near as possible as the original like that what I have finished already:
(Images removed, old)

Anything works except the EQ button. Havent found a skin where the 'openers' are placed like here :/

The Equalizer (as well as the small playlist) is a slideable panel of the main window in XMPlay, not a separate window like in WinAmp. So there's no button to turn it on/off, you can merely un/hide it under the main panel. Since the players handle this one differently, there's gotta be some adaptation. You could make a hole in the main panel where there's the XMPlay icon and make the same corner of your EQ panel draggable.

Finally I got it (named it "WAClassic").
Skin is avaible on this page if anyone else as me and 2 of my friends will have it Smiley

I prefer to use clear type if avaible (Win XP and above) together with NoTenths disabled.
Some Chars are not implemented in the used font, but its free and nice I think.

Thanks for your help Smiley

I'd love to try it, but where's the link? (Hopefully I'm not blind)

Yes, this is solidly put together, with very good functionality. Unfortunately for me, I never liked that pale purple colour.

If you're going to adapt a WinAmp skin for XMPlay, then your best bet is to check out the Machina source on this page. (links to the skins section of the unofficial XMPlay support site) I think the design is about as close to WinAmp 2.0 as any of the other skins I've seen thus far.

I'm thinking about adapting a couple myself, if the original authors don't mind. We'll see how that goes...

Here are two Winamp skins which I'd love to see adapted for XMPlay (please):

http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=1304&LibID=10

I live in hopes...

The only two I plan on trying are:

Akura GT Remix

and

Cthulhu

It's already a tedious enough process with these... Embarrassed

Very professional. I remember seeing one with a similar theme for XMPlay, though...

Well, I haven't had a look at this for a long time. Now I heard about new features in XMPlay which my skin doesn't provide.
Just a question: Anyone interested in an update?

Well, ok, I'll have a look at it Smiley
Anything else to edit except for the additional EQ bands? (I haven't had a closer look to the new skinning guide or to new skins yet)

WA2... I haven't used WinAmp for a long time (since I have tried XMPlay). Whats the difference between the v2 and v3 skins? It was only the color sheme, or not?
