What is Comercial License?

How do you distinguish what is comercial project and what is shareware?

Are there any restrictions on project which do not allow it to be a shareware?

There aren't really any restrictions (from a functionality point of view) on a project that would make it non-shareware, it's more to do with how you distribute/sell the product. For example, if it was sold in shops, that would be considered commercial (though if it's a game on a budget game collection CD, then a shareware license will generally be ok). You'll have to give details of what you have in mind for a more definitive answer for your case.

2 Ian.

In fact my game is small shareware (15Mb). And I distribute it throw my web-sites but some publishers want to distribute my game on CD. Is it necessary to buy commercial license for BASS?

And on that note. What if the software is originally freeware but you sell complete systems with the software preinstalled? (I'm creating a heavily customized carplayer)

When you have a case that's not clear-cut, please send an email with the full details. A public forum is not really the place for it - if someone is seen getting special treatment, everyone else will expect it too ;D

Ian,

I think I should have a license.   ;D  *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*

Hmm.  Now, I just need to learn how to write large projects, how to use BASS, and...  I don't see that happening anytime soon.  :)

But I'd still like a license!  ;)
