With the add-on to be able to open .cda files from an audio-cd, I noticed an attempt of XMPlay to make some net-connection.
I don't like that. Is there a way to disable such behaviour ?

You could try to disable CDDB (I'm not sure if that works, but it's worth to try). Go to "Plugins & skins", select "CD Audio", click Config, and delete the Server name in the CDDB section.
