And for ahx songs too... Could you examine the problem, Fraggie?

I think I know what's going on. The plugin puts no "Length" entry in General Info window and that's what the Mirc script is looking for. It's... doable. Smiley

I don't know if it's the AHX or if there's a bug in your plugin, but the file I attached effectively annoys the crap out of me starting at 0:46. The same notes keep playing until it loops back to the beginning. Other files do this, too, but not necessarily at 0:46. The files were from an LHA on ExoticA, "JaZz{Jolly}.lha" (there are other problems, like the fact I can't extract one of the files because it has a question mark in the file name). (linky)

AHX 2.3 editor plays your song exactly the same way as the plugin.

Regarding the other problem: you can use XMPlay's LHA plugin instead of unpacking files manually - I think it should have no problems extracting files with quesion marks in them (it doesn't need to write files to disk).

Revision 10 of the AHX plugin is now available.

Changes since beta9 include:
- A pattern viewer!
- "Length" field for the mIRC script
- File type provided for playlist/library
- Upgraded to XMPlay 3.4 interface

Note: You need at least XMPlay version 3.4.0.3. The latest stuff revision should be fine. Smiley

That's because you need the latest release from the /stuff/ directory (http://un4seen.com/stuff/xmplay.exe). At the time of this posting, that is version 3.4.0.5.

The latest official release (http://www.un4seen.com/files/xmplay34.zip) is only 3.4.0.0.

Auto-resize option doesn't work with AHX pattern viewer.

Thanks for this great plugin. However, I don't get the pattern display to work for HVL files, only for AHX. I get a big empty space where the pattern should scroll by (and does for MOD and AHX). I have the latest version of XMP and the plugin. What am I missing?

I found out myself. It works with the default skin, but not with the PowerDee skin.

It's related to number of channels. HVL files typically have more and the vis seems to require quite a lot of space horizontally before it displays. It works with HVL files here because I'm using a wip skin with a tiny little font. Bigger font skins may be unable to display the pattern for HVL files at all without stretching the window wider than your desktop.

I think it's not related to any skin, font or number of channels. For following HVL-modules there doesn't seem to be a pattern display produced by the plugin at all:

ftp://ftp.amigascne.org/mirrors/ftp.modland.com/pub/modules/HivelyTracker/Syphus/a moon light.hvl
ftp://ftp.amigascne.org/mirrors/ftp.modland.com/pub/modules/HivelyTracker/Syphus/afterstorm.hvl
ftp://ftp.amigascne.org/mirrors/ftp.modland.com/pub/modules/HivelyTracker/Syphus/meltwater.hvl
ftp://ftp.amigascne.org/mirrors/ftp.modland.com/pub/modules/HivelyTracker/Syphus/top gun anthem.hvl

ftp://ftp.amigascne.org/mirrors/ftp.modland.com/pub/modules/HivelyTracker/Varthall/yoake no myoujou.hvl

Tried different skins and playing with the "Shrink pattern..." value (see MOD-tab in preferences), didn't help any.

Dare to disagree.

Proof.

The thing is just that the pattern isn't shown at all if the full width doesn't fit. And DAMN, I want that continuous pattern view for regular modules too! Cheesy
(Or if it already is there and I've just failed to notice it, please let me know. Did have a semi-thorough look through the options dialog though.)
