I think 3.4.2.92 introduced a new bug with Winamp plugins. Songs get stuck at the end (don't advance, don't stop, just stuck.) It seems subsong advancing no longer works for Winamp plugins...

I tested vgmstream, NEZPlug++ and NSFplug. Native tracker formats and FLAC files played correctly.

The last modification above (to verify amiga-style file extensions) did indeed slightly break the intialization of Winamp plugins, which resulted in some of them not being able to tell XMPlay when they're done. It should be peachy again now... www.un4seen.com/stuff/xmplay.exe

A bug that was fixed in 3.4.2.89 appeared again in 3.4.2.92. XMplay stops at the and of DTS .wav track (auto advance is checked).

Just recently I got recommended to switch to xmplay.exe_3.4.2.92 and so I did, however.. I'm having some problems with it. Not sure if it's what's getting my computer to crash or not, since it says it's hardware failure.. However what I can tell for a fact is that snesamp v3.2 doesn't work properly with it. When playing the song Jim Power - Mutant's Forest and reaching the end the program just stops. It doesn't switch to next song until I tell it to.. However when switching back to xmplay.exe_3.4.2.85 the song progresses properly!! Get the song in RSN-archive here: http://snesmusic.org/v2/download.php?spcNow=jmpwrunrar the songs, as in rename rsn to rar, and extract that specific song only Edit: Yeah silly me, this has been fixed...

Could you please read the thread more careful? The problem has already been fixed in .93.

silly me ._.
Edit:
What's the reason for xmplay to shut down itself randomly (happened when changing between Ben Daglish tunes) upon changing ym songs. (I'm using winamp plugin in_ym by leonard)

Using vgmstream again. Files with *.MWV extension are reported as WAVs. The Plugin file info says they have a RIFF WAV header, and they're ADPCM encoded or something.

There's some seeking issues with HongKong_Music.umx that I uploaded. The improper seeking seems to happen when going backwards. There are five subsongs, but they each appear a couple different times along the seek bar.

This is not an error. The progress bar does not display "time progress" for mods, but it displays the modules' pattern sequence. The first few patterns (in this case: 5) of the Deus Ex music (and also Unreal, Unreal Tournament, etc) are the beginning of the 5 subsongs, and those subsongs continue at a later position of the pattern sequence.

Get this http://elrinth.mine.nu/ym.7z and unzip then drag the unzipped content into xmplay.. it's going to crash... Is there anyway to solve this? I'm using in_ym by leonard. perhaps this is an issue in in_ym itself? but should be able to make special case for in_ym plugin in xmplay where u add try n catch for the specific plugin and type and error log? I can't find DrWatson folder in C:\Documents And Settings\All Users\ <- I did search even in one folder up.

Just to go sure, have you disabled error reporting in windows?

AFAIK it's enabled if you can see a "send error report" button in the "application has crashed blabla" window.

Just to go sure, have you disabled error reporting in windows? I don't know, where do I check that? Right-click 'My computer' > Properties > Advanced > Error reporting > Choose enable. Alternative: Start > Run > services.msc > 'Error reporting service' should have the status 'Running'. You can start/stop it manually if you want to.

Using the latest stuff (3.4.2.97) : does double clicking on a file in the library crashes xmplay without any warning message?

It seems to be crashing in a thread created by the IN_YM plugin. The strange thing is that it doesn't crash when I remove any other plugins. I haven't quite been able to narrow it down to which plugin is somehow interfering with it, but perhaps you'll have more luck with that there I can't find DrWatson folder in C:\Documents And Settings\All Users\ <- I did search even in one folder up.
If DrWatson has been disabled, it can be re-enabled by running "drwtsn32 -i". Using the latest stuff (3.4.2.97) : does double clicking on a file in the library crashes xmplay without any warning message?
Oops, here's an update that should correct that... www.un4seen.com/stuff/xmplay.exe
