Hi!

A request:
When xmplay main window or playlist window has focus and the user pasted the clipboard contents (by pressing CTRL+V), let xmplay react to the clipboard contents:

clipboard contains path to local file/folder ---> play it
clipboard contains URL ---> consider it a a stream and stream it

Let the difference between pasting to the main window vs. to the playlist window be the same as when dragging and dropping files to these windows (clear previous playlist and play vs. add to playlist)

If the clipboard doesn't contain a path to an existing file/folder or a working URL to a stream, do nothing

I like it. I surprisingly often find myself parsing HTML pages, and this would remove the step of having to open up the Add File(s) dialog just to paste an URL in the Open URL field.

Also, just like Shift+Drag 'n' drop onto the main panel appends to the playlist instead of replacing it, let Shift+Ctrl+V do the same?

Doesn't the option in 'integration -> monitor clipboard for URLs' already does what you ask with streams?

This seems like a decent idea, so here's an update to try, which includes new shortcuts to open/add from clipboard...

Working fine here with URLs, thanks - *much* better than going through the files dialogue.

Strange, but it doesn't work for me.
I have this link in my clipboard: http://nj.bdsystems.net:8200/. I focus on XMPlay (or XMPlay's playlist) and press Ctrl+V but nothing happens. Please, somebody help. Maybe I should switch some option on?

Update:

Sorry. Silly me Smiley. I found corresponding shortcuts in the "Shortcuts" menu.
