Hi!

I know this questions has been here earlier but I'm really confused and hoping we will straight this out once and for all Tongue

If you read Bass manual under BASS_ChannelSetFx it says: Effects are only supported on floating-point channels when using DirectX 9 or above.

When you read about "DX8 effect implementations" it says: and floating-point support is not available prior to DirectX 9.

I heard that someone succeeded about using floatingpoint data with BASS_ChannelSetFx DX effects but most haven't?

I was also told that Bass FX has floatingpoint support with their effects and im specially interested in compressoreffects but Bass Fx does miss some important parameters like ratio wich is as important as the other settings. I didn't got an answer from jobnick how it worked Tongue How much is the ratio?

Hoping for better luck now.
