Using the same settings here (but on an Audigy2 card), I don't see the problem. Perhaps it's related to the file format that's being played, what format are you playing? If not WAV or MP3, please try that.

It's independend of the format. Just tried again with Xmp-ASIO (2007-04-27) and my previous buffer setting of 1.000s. Played an XM, OGG, MP3 and FLAC file, seeking works flawless. Then copied Xmp-ASIO (2008-01-22) overwriting the previous driver, NO changes to the setup. Seek stuttering happens with the same files that just worked before with the older ASIO output driver. Shall I upload the older Xmp-ASIO output drivers or do you still have them?

P.S.: And still, forum spellchecking currently doesn't seem to work?

Strange. I don't know if it'll help, but here's an update with a little modification to try...

If you still have the problem... with the time display in frames mode, do you see it flicker to MOD mode (bpm/etc) while seeking in an MP3?

ps: spellchecking seems to be working fine here Smiley

Bingo! That fixed it. Grin
Btw., seems you forgot to increase the version number. The \stuff\xmplay.exe release from 2008-01-20 already was at v3.4.2.23. Wink

[...] with the time display in frames mode, do you see it flicker to MOD mode (bpm/etc) while seeking in an MP3?

I didn't notice it until you asked, since it's quite hard to recognise unless you closely watch the timer. But yes, I can confirm that the flickering happened with the previous \stuff\xmplay.exe (2008-01-20) exactly as you described. It doesn't appear with the current version, and also I wasn't required to alter the ouput buffer.

Thanks, Ian. Very much appreciated. Smiley

Well, it doesn't for me. Maybe it's due to my browser (most current Opera, just updated today), or my AV application. Used to work previously, so I'll have to see...

Devices/drivers displays it with "none" when I hold ASIO setting in order of a mark
(attached image). When I close xmplay as this state and open again, channnel shift
returns to 0.

I display ASIO Driver when I hold ASIO setting after displaying Output once.
(Do you examine available Device when you open Output?)

Note:Output at Output of Options and stuff.

There is the case that "Devices=" in the ASIO section of xmplay.ini
disappears, and channel Shift becomes 0.

I do not understand the method to reappear if I notice it because it is 0.

I think I see when that could happen. Here's an update to try...

It also includes a handy little output selector Smiley

I installed new plugin. It does not come out that channel Shift returns to 0 for the moment.
Perhaps I think that I was recovered.

Everything seems to be fine now? So the update (rev.4) is now up on the XMPlay page.
