Feature Request(?)
« on: 29 Mar '08 - 19:35 »
Not sure if this is a bug or intentional, but it seems that I lose the "instrument text" (not sure if that's what it really is; I'm just guessing) when I convert to the MO3 format. I've included two screen shots to illustrate what I mean. I'm sure it's just "garbage text" that doesn't really have any meaning, but I'm a purist about that kind of stuff. :)

Yep, that's the IT/S3M sample filenames (there are also instrument filenames). The MO3 format didn't retain those, but I have now added that in the 2.4 beta...

And here's an XMPlay update with support for that change...

Thanks Ian. It's great that you're still willing to work on this in an era where this type of file is used only by us old-school geeks. Seems like everyone encodes straight to a streamed type these days. ;)
