Hi

Seems the xmp-ganbatte.dll which should load d00 d01 only also loads .skm (skaletracker modules) with resulting appcrash

I am having a dir with :

latest "stuff" xmplay

a skaletracker module :

ftp://ftp.modland.com/pub/modules/Skaletracker/Xanah/little faeries.skm

in_skale.dll from

ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/resources/music/trackers/skale081.zip

and latest xmp-ganbatte.dll

when loading a .skm module ganbatte tries to replay it and crashes xmplay
when removing ganbatte dll from xmplay dir xmplay replays it correct with in_skale.dll

please help

Yes, it does. Make sure to use the native XMPlay plugin version.

@OPLx
Great job fixing the issue. Thank you.

Btw, why does your XMPlay Ganbatte! plugin sport four different version numbers?

  • file properties: v1.0.0.1
  • reported version: v1.0
  • about dialog: v1.0b
  • documentation & download page: v1.1

Can't decide on a particular one? Grin
Let's have a poll then. Wink

I had used VS2008's runtime libs and most people seem to still have VS2005's runtime libs.  I'll have to re-compile with that.  I didn't realize this problem until Ian had informed me of it.   Undecided  I'll post another message once it's recompiled.  I think I had better setup my other PC here ...  Undecided

The real version should be version 1.1 ... That's what I get for maintaining different versions of the plugin.  Grin  It will be fixed soon.  Wink

hey oplx

maybe you compile (if possible) with visual studio 6, then it works on a clean xp install without any vs-bloat-runtimes:) installed

or if you recompile with newer please write which m$ dlls required in xmplay dir to get plug running, cos i dont like the runtimes Wink

Cheers

I don't like the DLL bloat either ... he he he ...  Cool I started developing xmp-ganbatte using VS2005, but (for a future release) I'll consider a project configuration that uses VS2005 or VS2008 using VC6's libraries.  VC6's compiler is way too inferior to justify going back to using it.

sorry to awaken this old thread. I just want to reveal that the winamp plugin of ganbatte works much better than the xmplay version.

alot of d00 and d01 just crash for me with the xmp plugin. Using the winamp plugin works better. Check it out here.

Hello,
Could you tell me what version of Windows you are running and if there is any kind of output when it crashes?
Does it crash all the time or with certain .d00/.d01 files?  I'm sure it's something I can fix if I can reproduce it on my PC here.  Thanks!  Smiley
