I just noticed an entry in the Shortcuts dialog called AHX Visualization Mode but cannot find any references to it anywhere. What is it?

That's probably the pattern viewer of the AHX/Hivelytracker plugin (link to post).

Ah, ok; thanks.

I hadn’t heard of AHX. I didn’t expect built-in support for a plugin.

ahem... there's nothing like "built in plugin visualizations" or something like that. This visualization is only available if you actually have the AHX plugin installed.

The same goes for the shortcut. It only appears in the list of shortcuts if the plugin is installed.

So the plugin adds the entry to the shortcut dialog? I have not written a plugin or examined the SDK, so I didn’t know that was possible.

· Dot-Mode visualisation (a'la Cubic Player):

  To toggle Dot-Mode simply middle-click into XMPlay's Vis-Window.
Stretched dots indicate that filtering is being applied to the sound.
You can bind this function to a hotkey as well.
