What advantage would 64-bit bring for an audio player, except for the great buzzword "64-bit" that everyone seems to mistake for something that makes programs better, faster and whatnot.
I can see various things that certainly wouldn't get better: All currently developed 3rd party plugins won't work anymore - and that includes practically all Winamp plugins, Sonique visualisations, etc.

There are currently no plans for a 64-bit XMPlay version. As saga mentions, the main issue is that plugins would need to be 64-bit too, and a 64-bit version wouldn't really have any great benefit (perhaps a slight performance boost).
