"Year estimation" for module files
« on: 15 Sep '08 - 12:59 »
Hey Ian,
It's great that there's a "year estimation" for module files which tries to guess when a module was made. However, I'd restrict this to 4-digit numbers greater than 1985, because... guess what happens when xmplay tries to determine the year of a module that was writting by a member of Razor 1911... ;)
As an addition, it would be nice if XMPlay would also recognize strings like '95 or '97 (apostrophe + 2-digit number) as years.

...or Zoo5 or Z00x or 1 9 9 5 or two-thousand-and-one or... :P
you could go on forever, but i think 1995 and '95 are the most common ones and also the most easy ones.

It currently accepts year 1900 (and above), in case of time travelling trackers ;)

I'll increase that to 1980 for the next update.
