Hi,
i am new to Bass. I have created a programme using DirectX8 in VB6 to play Midi files of songs/hyms for church, this all works and sounds ok, it play intro and verses/chorous in the set order as required but only gives the sounds of a piano.  What I now want to do is create sounds of an organ. I was told I need VST or soundfonts. Havings looked for information came across UN4seen-Bass, before I start exploring this can anyone confirm I wiil be able to do this using BASS?

If you use BASSMIDI  2.4.1, Yes, you can Smiley
I suggest you to use soundfonts.

BASSMIDI  2.4.1
An extension enabling the playback of MIDI files and real-time events, using SF2 soundfonts to provide the sounds. C/C++, Delphi, and Visual Basic APIs are included. An example soundfont (and example MIDI files) is available too.
