Looking at Zarggg's screenshots in an older thread, I was wondering if OGG samples really are kept as 8bit samples? Are 8bit samples are really preserved? I can recall from the manual that you recommended 16bit samples for MP3, since MP3 uses 16bit samples anyway. Is this also valid for OGG?

MP3 and OGG don't really have a sample resolution, eg. samples aren't stored as 8-bit or 16-bit (it's MO3 that retains that info about the original format). So the higher the resolution of the source data, the better really Smiley
