Hi everybody!

Beside telling you that XMPlay seems to me a great piece of software, i've also got a question: there is (or there will be) a way for XMPlay to support external mp3 players (like iPod and the likes)? You know, that incredibly handy winamp function "right-click-send-to-usb-drive"?

I've tried to search the forum, read some guides and fiddle with the options, but i didn't find anything (but maybe it's just me...)

P.S.: sorry if my english it's not so good, but i'm afraid i'm italian  Smiley

Nope. XMPlay is an audio player, not an allround media manager, so I don't think it will ever get iPod support. However, Ian was working on integrating the Windows Explorer context menu in the playlist, so in time XMPlay might be able to copy the tracks or use the 'Send to'-menu.

XMPlay will never support the Apple iPod, because Apple does not publish their device interface. All free/open source applications that do support earlier iPods rely on reverse-engineered functionality - functionality that Apple doesn't want to exist. And they make it pretty damn hard to get started with their newer iPods. Sad

That'd be the sweetest thing ever.
Ian, did any portable music player company license BASS yet?

This is actually a reason why I seriously consider buying some Windows CE-driven PDA with phone support instead of a "bog-standard" mobile phone if would ever need one... Now that there's BASS for WinCE out, it should be rather easy to code an XMPlay-alike player for it, right? =)
