Hi! What does the 'first output' option in the XMPLAY ASIO options panel mean?

The "First output" option determines the first output channel to use. For example, if you set it to 2, then a stereo file would be played on outputs 2 and 3. If you click the "..." button next to it, you can see what output channels the card/driver has available.

Good day.

Related to this topic, the default value for "first output" is 0.
If I leave it, I hear no sound.
Clicking the "..." box offers several options (speakers, headphones).
Now, my question is: is there a way to find out which value can the "first output" be assigned other than by trial and error clicking of the options in the "..." box?
Thank you for your attention.

The listed options are the channels that the ASIO driver says are available. It should be technically possible to set XMPlay's first output to any of them, but you won't hear from any that aren't connected to a speaker.
