Samples over 255 are murdered

Yes sir... that's just the case. If there's samples with index number over 255, they get instakilled when converting to mo3 and result in a rather wacky sound. They're ripped when the original module is opened. I'd really appreciate a fix ;D

Can you upload a file that demonstrates the problem - ftp://ftp.un4seen.com/incoming - I don't think I have any with that many samples :)

I can't recall any of the original trackers supporting more than 255 samples?

IT did only 99 originally, FT2 did 128...

even MPT gave place for only 255 samples if I recall correctly.

(Who on Earth needs more sample anyway?)

Hakan

IT: 99 samples
FT2: 2048 samples (128x16)
MPT: 1000 samples (both for IT & XM)

255 samples isn't that much for orchestral and metal tracks, thats why MO3 is so awesome (such tracks tend to get huge in filesize).

Yep, I use MPT. I hit 255 samples with a song with 2 full guitar kits, acoustic guitar, drums, bass, flute, oboe, harpsichord, organ, choirs, and a tambourine. And yes, it's powermetal. ;D With an orchestral song you'll hit the limit in a blink of an eye.

I'll send the sample files in a week or two.
