Can I rip Cd's and convert them in mp3pro files?, or mp3/wav files to mp3pro files?

I'm not sure if there are any command-line MP3PRO encoders, but if there are, then the answer to both your questions is "yes" :)

Unfortunately the only commandline I was able to find is the one from http://www.mp3prozone.com/.

Which you can use if you copy the .exe encoder to the XMPlay folder. (mp3PROplayer /encode %i) Unfortunately its not automatic and has a few... problems, its easier perhaps, but you still have to do a bit of work in the conversion.

(You can't use stdin to encode either.)
