do websites identify xmplay?

Good day.

Please forgive the naivete, or maybe even irrelevance, of the following, but I was wondering: just as websites can identify the browser I am using when I access them, do they identify xmplay when streaming audio? Just curious to know. Thank you for your attention.

XMPlay sends an a HTTP user agent just like browsers do. It does identify itself as being XMPlay and does not disguise as a browser, so in theory websites can identify whether you use XMPlay or a browser or another media player.
