Icecast <source-timeout> and mixer
« on: 26 Aug '23 - 16:05 »
Hello.
Bass works fine here inside our webradio program.
But if there is no sound on the mixer, icecast cut the connection (<source-timeout> parameter).
So is there a method to check the final mixer sound level ? If volume is 0 for 2 minutes i can sent a sound file to avoid the icecast source logout ! (two minutes is my <timeout-source> setting in the icecast file)
Many thanks !

Silence shouldn't usually cause an Icecast connection to timeout. Do you have the BASS_MIXER_NONSTOP flag set on the mixer? If not, please try setting that, so that the mixer continues generating output when nothing is playing. If the problem persists, also confirm what encoder (and options) are being used.
