is it able to play DVD format ?

ok, avi and mkv containers works nice, specially with audio. Video too but not full screen where the performance fall down so much. Anyways I LIKE THIS !!! keep the good work and give to the best audio media player the video playback !!!

DVD is not supported yet, but you can load video from video_ts folder ;)

I've un-blacklisted the AVI container in the XMPlay settings, but then when I try to open one (to play it with this plugin), it crashes XMPlay. I have tried files with and without audio. All of the files successfully play in Windows Media Player (using the stock Windows codecs). I know two of them use the "MJPEG" video codec (which is little more than a really fast slideshow of JPEGs for the video stream), but I believe ffmpeg supports this, so it shouldn't make a difference.

Here is a link to one of the files: http://www.mediafire.com/watch/w5gw99j9vk3mf35/book_1.avi. The other two files I tested are personal files of footage taken from a digital camera (they are the ones I mentioned that use the MJPEG codec).

I downloaded this plugin.  it is fun actually.
Does this have the ability to switch between different audio  streams in an MKV file?
The list of extensions supported is confusing.
For example: FLAC is supported.  Does this mean an audio  stream in a video container or ANY Flac audio file?
In such a case this should be explained.

**And the config window should allow us to select and deselect from the list.**

My opinion is for this to be an audio (and Video)  decoder in video containers.
So list of extensions should include known video file extensions.
So I am confused about the appearance of extensions like FLAC and OGG and WMA and WAV and MKA.

You really should have this plugin for decoding audio (and Video) in Video containers.
Then have another plugin for FLAC, OGG, WMA, WAV, and MKA.
This will simplify things and give us the option regarding installing a yet another audio  decoder in strictly non-video audio streams.
Also, please change the name that appears in the list of plugins.
Right now it appears as: FFMPEG Supported Files
This should be changed into just the name of the plugin.

This will make things more orderly and prettier :)))

This plugin does the decoding itself, it doesn't rely on XMPlay, that's why youìll see "FFMPEG Supported Files".
It's not a "pure" demuxer.

The audio stream can't be switched on the fly, but you can select before starting to play witch audio stream to be played

Whatever the case is - this is creating a mess of extensions that we can not choose to deselect or select from.
There is no reason whatsoever to throw a bunch of audio formats at us without being able to select what we need.

if you mean the winamp plugin, it's not that it doesn't work, it does decode, but the audio has issues, something like being chopped, can't really explain.

You can blacklist from xmplay some extensions. Anyway....why you don't want that all extensions(files) to be decoded by this addon?

Well, since there already are plugins for audio formats, maybe he simply wants to use those, say for better support/integration.

Indeed it does work with 3.8.0.1, and with 3.8.0.2 too. You may have other plugin that conflict, try with a clean XMPlay setup and add plugins till you find the offending one.
