Yes, Bass is definitely the best music dll out their. I can only think of one more thing I would like to see. That would be being able to encode Wave files to MP3 files. Should I even expect anything like that?

To do this, I think Ian has to pay a good sum of money to Fraunhofer and company.

You could use LAME in your project. It's free and very good :)

There's a Linux version of BASSMOD (the MOD-only version of BASS), but there are no plans to port the full BASS to Linux at the moment. BASS is built fairly tightly on top of DirectSound, so it would not be a straightforward job to port.

Yes, Bass is really great work  ;D !

Amazing that that you haved built-in Ogg/Vorbis support and only added 18kb in size to bass.dll - ogg.dll + vorbis.dll is 116 kb !!!

Will .midi files be supported in a future version?

There are no immediate plans for MIDI support, but yes, it is a possibility in future :)
