It'll be in PHP. It's going to tie into the forum software anyway, and YaBBse/MySQL works well.
and don't rely on javascript if possible. (well, it IS possible )
Any javascript will be for things that need it. I do not like sites which need JavaScript enabled to work.
Same goes for flash, I hate flash.
Me too. Especially flash-based navigation.
And good looking pages can be done with HTML 4.0 Strict and CSS 2.0 --- and will look decent in IE and Mozilla (and often in Opera)
Funny you should say that... It's HTML 4.0 (not necessarily strict, but no frames) with pure CSS for the formatting. There's going to be a "make printer-friendly" server script because the pages are not printer-friendly at the moment. The only images are for logos and pictures, not fancy navigation bars and borders, although it looks like I'm using a few when I'm not
If you need HTML/CSS bugtracking, I'm here. I code HTML asleep.
