In recent builds, the side panels can be opened/closed with a single click instead of dragging them. The click area is also now highlighted when you move the mouse over it, to make it more apparent that it's there.

Hi everyone and Ian! First time here but a life long XMPlay user, started tracking in -91ish on Amiga. Was wondering if Ian would be willing to fix the few remaining obscure bugs in the Amiga Protracker replayer? If needed, I can make a module demonstrating them to compare against the Protracker clone.

Sure, feel free to post/email any PT1 compatibility issues that you've noticed. When doing your comparisons, please make sure you have XMPlay's "MOD playback mode" option set to "PT1" and that you're using the latest build, which is available here:

So, XMPlay can't play double-float 64-bits wavs?
Not supported by system/hardware/audio-card some would say
But BASS plays it fine (just checked through basstest/contest)
Shouldn't XMPlay do the same

Hi. Previously I was sitting on Win7 and XMPlay started fast.

After using XMPlay on Win10, noticed sometime XMP starts very slow. Tried XMP without any plugins and skins, and it starts very fast like it was on Win7 with all addons.
Maybe there is some option on Win10 or XMP that I should disable?
PS: Win Defender is disable.

Is XMPlay only slow to start the first time after you reboot the PC or is it every time? If it's every time when there are plugins and skins installed, then to narrow it down further, please try removing the plugins but keeping the skins, and vice versa.

I m also notice that. Win10 on SSD but it take near 3 sec with minimum kit of plugins

Is that every time or only after a reboot? It may be slower to start after a reboot because none of the files/folders are in Windows' cache yet.

Im rarely reboot my pc. Im notice it related with CPU load level. With working browser it takes more time

It seems to be working in a couple of skins I tried just now (the "Windows Classic 2" skins), so please provide the name of a skin that isn't working properly there. Also confirm what Windows version you're using.

Sorry looks like i accidently pressed m key to disable mini mode, works normal now but couldnt find a setting for this in UI

OK, good to hear it was simply that. As well as the keyboard shortcut, it's also possible to toggle mini-mode by double-clicking in the XMPlay window (non-button area of it).

I have a 5 second buffer setup in output settings. I find it weird that after pausing and resuming playback XMPlay adds that 5 seconds. From my point of view it should resume playback in the very same place when it was paused.

That's strange, playback should resume from where you paused it. Are you using an output plugin, and if so, does the problem still happen when using the default output instead? Also, are you playing a file or an internet stream? If you pause a stream then the connection may timeout, in which case XMPlay will reconnect when you try to resume (skipping the buffered old data).

Here's an update that adds the option of stopping/releasing the output (instead of just pausing it) when the pause button is pressed:

Add a "PauseStop=1" line to your XMPLAY.INI file to enable the new option. Note that the buffered data will be dropped then (ie. it will skip ahead), so you probably won't want to have a very large buffer set.

I'm sorry as it was my own mistake. For some reason I've added "PauseStop=1" to ini file.

I downloaded this and replaced my xmplay.exe but now xmplay will no longer start for me?! I was at 3.8.5.3. Can I somehow get an error log or something? ps I have lots of plugins so xmplay usually takes a long time to start.

* moving my plugins folder outside of the whole xmplay folder solved it!
