Topic: Winamp Wrapper sometimes turn off.

 Hello and sorry for my english. I always run xmplay with a winamp plugin. All ok, sound perfect, but sometimes the dsp wrapper apear disable without aparently reason. Every day at some point appears disable. I run 3.8.5 version in Windows 7. Any idea? Thanks!

When you say the Winamp DSP wrapper appears disabled, is it disappearing from the active plugins list (in the "Plugins" options page) or does it say "no plugin" there, or does it just stop having any effect on the sound? Also, are you having the problem with a particular Winamp plugin? If so, please try a different plugin and see if that is affected too.

The plugins appears, the wrapper too, bat the tick of enabled no. I need reenabled and then recover the effect instantly. Thanks for reply.

OK. The Winamp DSP wrapper will automatically disable a plugin like that if its processing function (ModifySamples) function fails to return the same amount of data as it was given. So it seems like that's what happened. Strange that it would only happen at a seemingly random moment though. Is it happening when a certain sample rate is used? If so, you could try setting a different sample rate (preferably the device's native rate) in XMPlay's "Output" options and enable the "Apply sample rate to all file formats" option.

I'm not sure if it'll help, but another thing you could try is using a different output system, eg. the WASAPI or DirectSound output plugins.

I always use directsound. Now, all the sistem audio i put to 16bits and aparently works. Before the fail appear randomly and without reason know (all the archives are 44100 16 bits). Thank again and i observe the issue in this days.
