Hi,
I installed:

  • KoordASIO_2.1.0_win64.exe,
  • XMPlay 3.8.5.85
  • xmp-asio.dll 1.0.7.3
More
  • Only built-in device ASIO driver is listed
  • Tested in other audio player: - listed both, and works
  • Using USB-DAC
Priority
  • minimal
  • just wanted to let you know

Thanks

Found this:
QuoteThe problem is that for proper ASIO support, you can't just bolt it on like ASIO4ALL does. ASIO4ALL is not a proper ASIO driver and shouldn't really exist, it's a hack. If your USB DAC doesn't come with ASIO drivers from the manufacturer, you're not going to be able to add it by just installing a driver. Part of this confusion is that DACs that do support ASIO often need to have an ASIO driver installed; so people started thinking "oh, it's just a driver thing".

Unless your DAC comes with specific ASIO drivers from the manufacturer; you should be using WASAPI Exclusive if you want bit-perfect. Exclusive mode bypasses all the processing Windows might do and instead gives you what I describe as "virtual hardware access". The sample rate it runs your card at will match what the source is feeding it.

That quote you found is just an explanation why neither ASIO4All nor KoordASIO are "true" ASIO drivers, but the real explanation for your issue is listed right in the KoordASIO system requirements: It is a pure 64-bit driver and requires a 64-bit host. XMPlay is a 32-bit host, so it is not suported by KoordASIO. As XMPlay support WASAPI, you are best off just using its built-in WASAPI exclusive support, no need to install a driver like KoordASIO.

Yes, I also thought that this may be the reason, thanks

Building system for lossless ( pcm ) lan network stream/play, so
I will try FlexAsio, 32-bit available.
