Record from VB-audio Virtual audio cable

Hello, I have a question. Is there a special procedure when recording from a virtual device, such as those created by VB-Audio Virtual Cable?

When using physical sound cards, recording works normally. But when I try to record from a virtual device, it simply doesn't record. There's no error message, but it's as if it's silent.

I don't think there should be anything special needed. Are you receiving silent data (eg. all 0s) or no data from the virtual audio cable? And is there anything connected to the other end of it to feed it sound? For comparison, please try recording from it with the pre-compiled RECTEST.EXE example included in the BASS package (C\BIN folder) and other non-BASS software, and see if you have the problem with them too.
