! Find File Dialog (bindable)
« on: 21 Jun '04 - 01:33 »
  Hi,

I think that it would be very handy if XMPlay could have a separate Find Song dialog.  It should also be bindable to a hotkey and always-on-toppable.  That way it would be very easy to start playing a specific file.

I know you can currently set the Options to a hotkey, but it does not alway start in the Find tab, and you have to click OK to get the search  to stay, otherwise the search is wiped and the previous search is filled in next time you bring up the dialog.

Is the "List nav - Find" under shortcuts what you are looking for?

You could also just press enter after typing what your trying to find, instead of clicking OK.

I agree it should be its own small pop-up dialog if possible.

Not really, I would like a full, separate dialog that's resizable and on-toppable.  The list-nav-find will have to do for now, but it would be nice to have a better one (like the one Winamp has when you press `J`).

I think global shortcut for Open Info Window then ctrl+F is all you need.
Or you can set global shortcut to Options&Stuff window.

No offense, but having it in the Options dialog is just odd and weird.
