feature request for multimedia keyboards

..if the key isn't recognized, just show the scan code so we can use multimedia keyboards to run xmplay?
or if xmplay can use MCI, where could i read about that?

It already does that. Are you running some little extra software for the keyboard? I dont, I let windows handle it and XMPlay shows the codes as the key name and the multimedia keys work correctly exactly as I assign them.

I was using JRkey but I didn't have those keys assigned, so JRkey should have been ignoring them.  I don't think I tried to set them up without that running.  I've sent the keyboard back to walmart anyway, it was that huge black one with 20+ extra keys, plus media player keys (the ones I was trying to set up), and a scroll wheel, and mark/copy/paste keys..

It didn't even fit my desk :D

Although it would have been nice to have some global hotkeys for XMPlay that didn't conflict with any other program.
