Skinning
« on: 1 Sep '06 - 03:14 »
I have one question about skinning, and the support site and the XMplay's contradict:

-The XMplay site says that XMplay is a no installing application

-But the Support Site says that to skin you should look for the "XMplay directory" at the
"Editing Visual Settings" Article

So this is my question,(assuming that main_panel.bmp is in the above mentioned directory)

If XMplay is a no installing application how could there be a XMPlay Directory?

Well, the "XMPlay directory" is just the place where you unzipped XMPlay to. Most people will have that at something like "C:\Program Files\XMPlay" but eventually it's up to you where you put your stuff. :)

Of course I assume that people will unzip XMPlay to a directory of its own before starting it. Running XMPlay from inside a ZIP will work to some degree but it's not recommended.
