i've tested bass_Fx, but there is a simple question...

when i aply eq_FX, then my consuption in CPU goes from
3-5% (play a stream) to
20-30% (play stream with EQ on)

is this normal or i'm doing something wrong...

WinXP, 192MBRAM,PIII800

In my opinion Jobnik used Manu's EQ-Code like I do ;) and so the Eq takes 10-15% CPU in a common System.
So there is no need to worry about. If somebody finds a better EQ-Code we would appreciate   ;D

Hi JobNik... the bass_FX file is ok??? i intent to descompress after download it and rar gives me an error. I can`t decompress the rar.

I had the same problem while downloading with Netscape Communicator 4.x

Use Internet Explorer, it should download just fine then.

I was just incorporating bassFX into my app.

The process was so painless I just HAD to pop in once again and thank Jobnik, Ian, Manu and everyone on this board for contributing towards this DLL's existence.

Those who are worried about resource utilization may want to compile their apps first. Considering the work it does, this DLL doesn't eat much!

Using Windows 2000 SP2 and none of the VISUAL Microsoft compilers.

I just want to let you know that the FX examples won't work when OCX components are not installed on the host computer. (ie: COMDLG32.OCX)

1st of all  please write any BASS_FX bugs/etc... in this
-= BASS_FX.DLL v1.0 =-  section !!! THANX!!

2nd. I think I've found the bug! indeed it's a memory error, but
it's not an error of a system of yours (paddy), it's indeed a error that in BASS_FX.DLL.  :-X

3rd. I'm updating the .DLL:  :idea:
* I hope the bug that I've found will solve that bug of yours (paddy)   ::)
* I've changed the entire EQ code by BiQuad, so it's sounds
   much better than - manu's - [I hope   :P]
* I've added a - LPF = Low Pass Filter - DSP FX  ;)
* I will add C/C++ examples as well  :D

4th. -= BASS_FX.DLL v1.0a =- will be soon released!  8)

I'm glad you found the error. Thanx. Can't wait to try out the new BASS_FX version!

Any chance of tweaking the reverse algorithm so that it can work with bass 1.5 too?

I don't want to upgrade to bass 1.6 just yet. Too many changes involved and I REALLY have to finish up my app (at least the first version!)

PS: How big is your "TO DO" list? Can you fit in a Compressor....?

BASS v1.5, well it's like to write twice everything in these
functions  :-/

Does BASS_FX.DLL supports working with multiple instances of BASS.DLL??
Cause on my progr. all bass functions are redefined as in multi sample.
